Bayside Village Marina

Our family experience was so relaxing. However, the price we paid for the cottage was not worth our experience due to the following- 1.Oven temperature didn't reach proper temp I set, so cooking took much longer. The numbers on the dial for the oven temperature was not there. The only temp numbers I could see was 500° and barely 450°. 2. Not enough kitchen supplies such as pots, oven pans, and measuring cup. Not enough cutting knives. The only one available was very poor quality. 3. Shower temp was very finicky. It was either scolding hot or freezing cold. It took some time to get the right temp. Which this is a problem since there is a sign on the bathroom door stating there has to be 15-20 minutes between showerings. Not enough wash cloths supplied. Had to go to office to ask for more, which was not given to us till the next day. 4. Was not given the code to the public bathrooms at check in. Had to call after hours and speak to security to get the code. 5. Not enough space in the bedroom. I had to shimmy my way around the bed to get to the left side. In this process I would hit my legs on the footboard. And bed was SUPER noisy. It made for a terrible night sleep (Saw 2x4's under the bed holding the mattress up). Then the AC unit on the wall in the bedroom is too bright. The digital numbers on the front of it light up the entire room. So no sleeping in the pitch black. 6. We had beach front rental by the movie area. There are extremely LOUD birds that make annoying noise in the night and in the mornings. 7. RV renters have dogs. So when walking anywhere to go to the pool, the bathroom/showers, or convenience store, dogs would excessively bark at you (no peaceful walks). 8. Parking between the cottages is not meant for big trucks. We have a Toyota Tundra. Not enough space to open the doors. 9. When at the beach, when walking into the water, it's very mushy due to how much moss is on the ground in the water. So water shoes are highly recommended. 10. Airport is near by. Starting at 7 am we would hear very loud airplanes. Then hear them all day long till 10 pm. 11. Loft has a half ceiling. Very uncomfortable for teenagers. Stairs to loft are steep. Hand rail to stairs is grimey, seems like it never gets cleaned. Loft should have beanbags for kids to sit in. But there are plenty of electrical outlets. 12. Had to deal with ants in the bathroom and kitchen. 13. Kitchen table broken due to no lever to raise the side to make the table a full circle. Only 3 wooden chairs. Which makes for watching movies very uncomfortable for a family of 6. CD player and home speakers don't work. So don't rent any movies. You have to have Amazon Prime or Netflix to watch anything. 14. Picnic table is cover in bird poop. 15.Lastly, the price we paid did not make for significant time since check-in is at 4 pm and check out is at 12pm. Especially since this seems to be a single wide mobile home since the hallway is very narrow.

Amazing marina, perfect placement and a pleasure to visit. Even the air quality is so wonderful here.

Great spot! Clean, affordable, friendly. Best mooring prices in Newport Beach:-) The only downside is the distance from the entrance to the harbor is 45 minutes by boat. The Dunes Resort is easy walking distance and so are the best nature trails for walking and cycling. This is a beautiful place! The only downside is the distance from the entrance to the harbor is 45 minutes by boat.
