Nice restaurants and small shops on main st. The beach is long and waves are generally small. Pier is nice, fishing is best in summer months

I moved here a year ago. It is truly unique and quirky. Many of the homes started out as trailers, and then had a “cabana” added to the trailer. It feels like a throwback to an old beach town. No one is trying to impress, they are here because they love the beach. A little community within the small fun town of Seal Beach. All ages live here, and the mix is nice. A short walk to Main Street to hit a pub, shop, get ice cream, or to Alamitos Bay for a water taxi ride to Shoreline Village in Long Beach, and beautiful sunset walks along the San Gabriel River to the beach. I couldn’t be happier.

Walk my dogs in seal beach all the time and often turn in and do a loop through here its just so very cool. I did not see where any other review really explained anything about this place. First it is a trailer park but unlike any other I have ever seen. In the photo they show you can see a home just wrapped in vapor barrier, thats a finished home now by the way. But look close at the home before it and you will see the end of an old single trailer sticking out of the first floor! The whole park is that way and no two are anything alike. Its like a free for all in there and is wonderful for that reason, no cookie cutters here. Everything is custom. I wish I could see the insides of some of these or get a look at how they did these building a house with a trailer at its core, Ive never seen anything like this anywhere else. Wonderful just wonderful. wish I lived there.

From my experience, the HOA is not pleasant to work with unless you’re a personal friend of theirs. Also, they require “cash only” to buy even though it’s not required in the bylaws. It takes a long time to sell your share. The area allows cigarette smoking. Cigarette smokers are allowed to smoke in the garden area and outside your homes, destroying the sea breeze. If you ask them to please go elsewhere, they will not. Kids are allowed to scream in the garden area. Not a peaceful or pleasant place. Some of the neighbors are very nice.

For a mobile home park, it is unique. None of the "trailers" look like trailers. They look like homes. The down side is there aren't any garages. There's assigned parking.
