Travelodge by Wyndham Orange County Airport/ Costa Mesa

I stayed here for 3 nights and i got a non smoking room but immediately entering my room i got a smell of cigarettes. The mirror looked like it had a bullethole in it. I went to use the lotion provided in my room and it was 90% empty?? Unsure why they would provide a used lotion. My shower would keep continuously flooding when i used it. The water pressure in sink would come out super aggressive and get all over the sink. The area seemed super unsafe as well. I always clean hotels when i arrive and the room was extremely dirty all over the microwave, fridge, sink and shower area. Ceilings looked like they had water damage and bathtub didn’t look clean. I got so many bug bites on my legs now also. Would not recommend nor would i go back.

Showed up for a business trip all the way from Alaska and even though they took our reservations for my week long stay. I showed up from the airport to a chain and lock around the door handles to the front lobby and an armed security guard asking what I was doing here that the building is in escrow and being sold. Why they keep taking reservations is beyond me. Don’t book here, apparently it’s shitty anyways 🤷‍♂️

The location of the property was very close to John Wayne Airport and the Main Street parking for the airport. It was a 5 minute drive there which worked out great for our early flight (we only had to stay one night thankfully). It was also very cheap and affordable. Check-in was easy as well. We got in around 11pm and instantly went to bed but a little after 2 AM, the TV in our room randomly turned on and then again almost an hour later around 3:30 AM. We did not turn on the TV when we arrived or anything. The second time the TV turned on, my husband jumped up and pulled out the cords and took the batteries out of the remote so it wouldn't happen a third time. We also heard whimpering during the early hours of the night. It sounded like there was a person in the room with us crying it was so loud. We barely got any sleep because of this. We alerted the gentleman at the front desk about this but he did not react or offer any apologies. It was all around really uneasy/weird vibes. It's either rather haunted or the walls are so thin here that you can hear crying and TV remotes from other rooms can work through walls. *Editor's note: We stayed on the bottom floor and to our knowledge, there was no one staying in the rooms on either side of us.

Rooms are outdated and rundown and should be updated. Carpet was disgustingly filthy and gross! Someone literally took a paintbrush and painted the bathtub with paint to cover rust. Dirty room. Ceiling had paint coming off. How can a place operate with it being so dirty? Front desk person was friendly and kind.

Rooms - dirty floors, water in the faucet trickling (no pressure), no soap dish, old towels, furniture was so old that we were afraid to sit on it, no one cleaned the room, ice machine was not working,. Could not sleep because people upstairs were walking around and I could hear everything, even when they flushed the toilet. Service - non existent. Location for us was great since we were close to the ocean and our friends. THIS WAS THE MOST DISGUSTING motel I ever stayed in!!!!!! Will never ever stay in travelodge
