Laguna Surf Lodge by SCP Hotels

They were so kind to us. We were displaced and had to evacuate LA due to LA fires. They were super accommodating so kind helped us with whatever we needed. Great location, beautiful the owners are really kind and sweet. Have nothing bad to say about this place. Great energy. The only thing I would say is to bring a laptop or a tablet because there’s no TV but that’s the only thing I have to say that’s not five star treatment.Beautiful views! I would stay there again, also pet friendly and they have Valet parking.

Visiting from Colorado and first time at Laguna Surf Lodge. We loved everything about it! Our room was remodeled beautifully and the bed was so comfy/ The location is close to all shops, restaurants and the grocery store. The views are just breathtaking. The beach is steps in front of you with chairs and towels available. The pool and hot tub were great. The hotel staff are accommodating and friendly. Spectacular place. We will be back annually and next year with friends!

We stayed one night here and immediately upon check in wished we had booked another night! We were greeted with excitement and recommendations for dinner, then found our room to be beautiful, accommodating and clean, even had a yoga mat which my husband forgot to bring! It was easy to find someone to ask to turn the fire pit on so we could enjoy a chilly evening watching the sunset over the water. From the welcome desk, to the staff, to the view, this hotel is 10 for 10 and we can’t wait to come back!! Thank you!

The staff is amazing! Shout out to Juanita and the valet guys!! Everyone was so friendly, welcoming and attentive. This is a small hotel so they really go the extra mile to personalize the experience. Our room was ocean front and zen. Smelled wonderful! We had the Peaceful King room with balcony. Listening to the waves while we slept was wonderful. The bed is comfy, shower is large and the balcony is blissfull. There was also a covered porch area between the room and balcony that had cute hanging swings. We went in the giant hot tub in the adorable pool area. 10/10 highly recommend this hotel and experience!! The area is very walkable and there is a free trolley that can take you up and down PCH to visit shops, restaurants/bars and art galleries!

I went here two weeks ago to celebrate my six year anniversary and this hotel exceeded every expectation I had. We stayed in the Ocean View King Room with Balcony. First and foremost, this is the most “Laguna” beach-style hotel on the downtown strip. From the white paint with wood trim to the small details like succulents, driftwood accents, ceiling hung plants, Vitruvi essential oil diffusers in the room, Levoit air purifiers, meditation pillows, white noise machines, captain beds with storage underneath and behind, beautiful surf inspired art, rope swing seats, incredible patio, beachy classic cars parked in the lot, valet parking, bungalow style pool, and garden walkway down towards a private beach entrance, this hotel is the full Laguna Beach experience. No need for your car, just park and walk to everything Laguna has to offer. The internet speed was decent, and the lack of a tv in our room was very welcome (some rooms have tv, “peaceful” rooms do not… “peaceful room” denotes tv or no tv). The only thing missing was its own bar/restaurant (apparently coming this year) and maybe a bit heavier of a blanket for the winter months. Other than that this hotel is exceptional. Also: the staff is beyond friendly and they also pride themselves on being a sustainable hotel, even posting their sustainable metrics at the front desk. One of the founders had an incredibly insightful conversation with me as we left regarding entrepreneurship and I could feel the pride he had of the value he was bringing to the community, a value I share deeply as well in my entrepreneurial journey: building great things to uplift and help others. The views are fantastic and the sound of the waves crashing is lovely to fall asleep to. My girlfriend was blown away. If you have a sustainably conscious, beach-loving, flip-flop wearing, relaxing kind of vibe, this hotel will check all the boxes for you. I would 10000% recommend staying here, you will not be disappointed.
