Love the views!!! Great hike for any time of the day, would be a great sunrise or sunset hike. A few little spots to stop on the way up. A well traveled path from the trailhead parking lot to the lower campsite. Tons of great trails back in here!!

Cousin and I spent 2 nights at Lower recently and had some great mountain bike trail hopping fun. Site was super clean and as always we made sure to leave it cleaner than we found it for the next crew! Highly recommend

Totally worth the hike. You should backpack in and camp here. The hike is not too bad but there are 3 steep sections that could be taxing if you're carrying a lot of gear. The views of the ocean and surrounding area from the top where you camp are incredible.

Nice camp area, unfortunately people come feeling they are entitled to camp there without reservations. Our group had overall 5 reservations for the 10 of us. When we got there every campsite was occupied. Meaning that of the 9 campsites, 5 were occupied by other parties. This despite every campsite being reserved per the ranger. So everyone there should have known there was no room for them but did not care and camped there anyway.
