The location and service are unbeatable. They have beach gear and bikes to use free of charge. It is right in the middle of a a bustling area of the beach. The room was just okay, it felt clean enough but a bit outdated. The staff were able to help us with several requests and went above and beyond expectations.

We spent 4 nights this past weekend (Oct 4-7/24). We arrived at night and we were welcomed by Hunter. He got us checked in and on our way quickly. When we got to the room the light was on for us, which we thought was a very nice touch. We enjoyed the morning breakfast with options of bagels, english muffins, toast, yoghurt, granola, hard boiled eggs, juice and more! We loved the bikes that were available to borrow, and we rode to Huntington Beach one day and another day we rode the opposite direction . There are also beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers, sunscreen, towels and beach toys. Complimentary snacks were available in the lobby as well as very reasonably priced beer, wine, and soft drinks. The rooms were comfortable and clean. People need to remmeber this is a beach front hotel. There was some sand and rust throughout but you are literally on the ocean and beach! There are signs posted regarding the age of the building and to be courteous regarding noise. The furniture in the lobby and upstairs veranda was very nice. We did not have a car and we could easily walk to numerous restaurants and bars. We even took chairs and had pizza at the beach one night. All of the employees were amazing and went above and beyond to make sure the stay was great. We would definitely stay again.

Location is amazing, practically on the beach. We were lucky enough to get parking, which was convenient. Staff were friendly, they had some beach equipment and towels, which was great. They also had bikes to be used, but only two were working so we didn't get a chance to get them. Breakfast is very basic but sufficient. However, the room wasn't great - there was no window that can be opened and air conditioning wasn't working properly so it was very stuffy. Overall the room was dated. And my main issue overall was that room was dirty - bedding and towels were washed but had bad stains all over and smelled bad. Other areas in the room also weren't really cleaned properly. Communal areas and parking were also quite dirty. The overall standard wasn't worth the price and I wouldn't stay here again.

What a charming hotel! The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful, and our room was clean and suited our needs perfectly. The only drawback was thin walls, making it easy to hear other guests, but the staff's kindness and the excellent amenities made up for it. The complimentary bike rentals were a great perk, and holding our luggage after checkout was very convenient. I highly recommend this place and look forward to returning!

Wonderful hotel right on the beach! Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was perfect and having bikes and beach gear to borrow was amazing! We biked to Balboa pier! So many places to relax and enjoy the view and loved the puzzle!
