Pros: Absolutely love the proximity of the hotel to the ocean for the cost. It's only a very short walk. The room is clean and well laid out. The front desk lady is very kind and check in was easy. There is paid parking onsite. Cons: there is a small bit of odor in the hallway and room, probably from age and it may have once been a smoking room? Also there is no way to blackout light from the door window. Besides these small cons the place is great. I would recommend to others and I would stay here again.

I stayed here for a weekend a couple months ago. I accidentally left an item there, and immediately called to see what could be done. They said I could send them shipping labels and a box, and they’d send it back. It has been 2 months and I have not received my item, they won’t answer the phone when you call or return your call if you leave a voicemail, and when I finally talked to someone, they said it had been shipped. It absolutely had not been, as there was no update when I looked at the tracking info. Best guess, a staff member stole my item and all they said was “it’s not really our responsibility” when I finally talked to them. Don’t stay here.

Great location for being able to walk along the peninsula. Small rooms, but we'll maintained. Very loud for cars and late night revelry. People yelling and partying until 2 am. Made for a rough sleep

Dropped in last minute. Nice little place. Reasonable rates. $15 parking seems a little greedy to charge someone that's already paying for a room but whatever. Room was nice. Spacious and clean. Only real complaint is that the jacuzzi bathtub had some issue that made it rumble all night long. Made it hard to sleep. And staff was unresponsive to the bell at the desk, the text sent to their 24 hour line, and the email sent.

This is one of the more affordable places to stay in the area…it’s three blocks from Newport Beach and it’s an easy walk to plenty of bars and restaurants. They do have a parking lot large enough to accommodate the guests. The rooms are pretty clean and well furnished. We did find some ants though. There is a good sized balcony with a table umbrella. However the main road is pretty noisy as night as is the bar a few doors down. Don’t stay here if you are a light sleeper or if you can’t function with earplugs in at night. The staff/owners are not especially friendly or helpful. At check-in we stood there unacknowledged for 60-90 seconds while they had a conversation about something on their computer. We were an hour early for check in and they refused to waive the early check in fee…obviously that’s their policy…but really great service. It’s a 3.5 star for me…the location and price are unbeatable.
