VEA Newport Beach, A Marriott Resort & Spa

Stayed for Business. The rooms are very nice but it smelled like something died in the hallway and lobby area which was not a great thing to come back to every night. Staff is courteous and helpful however restaurant staff seemed young and more concerned with socializing amongst themselves than the guest experience. Still 4 stars because overall it was a very nice stay and definitely felt premium.

Great location right across from the mall. Great service. Conference facilities are nice and they have a great very large gym. The beds are comfy but rooms are definitely a bit dated and could use some updating.

I’ve stayed here for a few nights , room was smaller than expected , and towels were really bad, I was charged fully 3 times! Without my authority or knowledge, lots of hidden fees ended up paying 1000$ extra just on random costs and deposits, they informed they’ll refund me it’s been 10 days and nothing yet and to add on top of that they recharged me yesterday another 3000$ randomly , keep in mind I already paid full amount twice!

Our stay at the Marriott was amazing, thanks to Molly’s exceptional service! She was so friendly and accommodating, making sure we had a great room. She even surprised us with cocktails waiting in the room to celebrate my husband’s birthday—a thoughtful and unexpected touch! We truly appreciated her attention to detail and kindness. While the room we had was a tad small, the service was excellent. We had an issue with our sliding glass door and it was fixed very quickly. We had a couple other issues, but Michael (the front office manager, I believe), ensured they made it right. The property is beautiful and in a great location.
