Bay Shores Peninsula Hotel

Stayed here 12 years ago, several times in business, and was delighted. It felt like coming home after work each day. I'd stay here again given the chance. I remember it clearly and fondly 12 years later. How often does that happen?

Our experience at the hotel was pleasant, very personable, and had a "homey" feeling to it. The staff was very friendly especially Warren. The continental breakfast foods available were perfect. Loved eating our breakfast on the sun deck as the views from the roof top were beautiful! The hotel's location is great because you can walk to the pier and enjoy the many restaurants nearby. Depending on when you stay during the week, free parking is easy to find. Would definitely stay here again as the staff was all very welcoming and friendly!!

We liked this place so much that we came back the very next weekend! A formerly family-owned place for many years, it is a hotel that feels like a cross between a motel and a casual bed and breakfast. Every staff member we met was friendly, and helpful, and seemed very happy to be working in the hotel. The rooms are good-sized. They are dated, but that is part of the charm. The small breakfast area is really nice. It is less than a block from the beach and the hotel has free chairs and boogie boards. Despite a few rough edges, this place totally charmed us. We were sad to learn that a small chain of west coast hotels has bought it and will be remodeling it soon. All it really needs is an updated elevator and freshened-up furnishings in the rooms, but it sounds like it will be more like a major remodel. To the family that owned it for so many years, please know that we were happy to find it and enjoy it before the changes happen. It is obvious that a lot of love has gone into the place!

We had an amazing stay! The staff was so friendly and helpful with any questions. Warren checked us in and we couldn't have asked for better service! Rooms were clean and well stocked. Cute decor. Cannot beat the location!! Beach and Port are both within walking distance. We will definitely be back :)

This was an amazing stay in an amazing location. The receptionist was outstandingly nice! Super informative and was an absolute treat. About a 1 min. Walk to the beach. The hotel even has free boogie board, beach chair, beach umbrella, and beach towel rentals. Very accommodating. We did rent bicycles and locked them outside. They ended up being stolen so my suggestion is that if you rent anything,keep it in your hotel room or a well hidden place to lock them up. Even then the hotel manager was super nice in getting us the footage to help file a police report. Overall you will not be disappointed in this stay! Lots of fun!
