Comfort Inn & Suites Huntington Beach
REVIEWS
My room was tiny, but the bed was big and comfortable…once you got the excess pillows out of the way. The front desk was staffed 24/7, and the staff members were always friendly. The rest of the staff members were just as friendly. The complimentary breakfast was nice. No continental grab-and-go breakfast here. It's a real breakfast with a decent variety of food to choose from. The exercise room leaves much to be desired. I think that there is a pool somewhere, but I never used it or even saw it. The location is great. It's near a few major shopping centers and there are tons of options for food within a very short distance. For the price, you can’t beat this place. I would definitely stay again.

I recently stayed at the Comfort Inn and had a wonderful experience. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. However, what truly made my stay exceptional was the outstanding service provided by hotel staff and also other staffs. From the moment I checked in, the staff was attentive, professional, and genuinely friendly. They went out of his way to ensure that all my needs were met and that I felt welcomed. Whether it was offering local recommendations, assisting with any requests I had, or simply greeting me with a warm smile every day, dedication to guest satisfaction was evident. It's rare to encounter such personalized and caring service in the hospitality industry, and truly stands out as a remarkable team member at the Comfort Inn. His efforts greatly enhanced my stay, and I will definitely choose this hotel again in the future. Highly recommended!

While the location is great in Huntington Beach, the rooms (2 beds) were extremely small. My husband and I had to walk single file line to and from the bedroom. There was plenty of towels provided, however, the towels were very dirty looking. In my opinion, they should have been thrown away and purchased new ones. They had that black tint on them. The staff was nice. No complaints there. The breakfast buffet was great. Eating area was pretty small for all the guests that were there this past weekend. Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby which was a plus. If this was my only option, it's not bad. But I will try other places.

DO NOT STAY HERE. My most recent visit was this previous weekend. I had made a reservation for 2 nights but because of my job, I wasn't able to check in until the following morning. I was called by the hotel after midnight, around 12:15am to see if I was checking in. I informed them I would not be, and that I would be arriving the following day. The clerk informed that was fine. He proceeded to call me back and stated that he would need to charge me for my stay. I agreed and a pending charge was placed on my credit card ($236.26). At check-in a copy of my credit card was made because "since we charged your card already we couldn't charge for the incidentals". The quote was in response to me asking why he made a copy of my credit card, mind you I had stayed at this same hotel two weeks earlier and did not have a copy of my credit card made. I let the situation slide after receiving reassurances from the clerk that "if I am here, I will make sure it is shredded". At some point during the day, I received a notification from my credit card, the same credit card that a copy was taken without my permission, for $372.52 in addition to the already pending charge. I did not authorize this charge and was told I would not be charged again. I was out, so I was going to address the issue when I returned. Before I could, I was called by the hotel at about 6pm saying they needed me to sign some documents I wasn't given at check-in. I told them I would stop by when I was back at the hotel. When I returned to the hotel, I was given the hotel documents to sign and was told they would need to charge me again for $382.52 since they had used my copied credit card and not my physical one. At this point I was agitated since I couldn't believe what I was hearing. My bank of course blocked it thinking it was fraud, which in my opinion it was since they charged my card without my permission. There is no reason a $236 reservation should require $991.30 in pending charges. I wish that was all, in addition to this entire mess, the shower had no pressure. The shower handle was broken and the plug was broken. If I am going to be charged over $900 for incidentals, I should at least have a working shower. Pending charges are still on my credit card and I can't cancel the charges until they are finalized. Hopefully they are actually temporary.

I enjoyed the inside my room, make sure you turn the refrigerator temperature up to the max, if you are going to use it. The room was small but it did not bother me at all. The afternoon employee, who is a tall slender man, is rude and condescending. To tell me "TAKE YOUR BOOTS OFF!" and point to the ottoman in front of the couch, in an aggressive manner is unacceptable. On several occasions, I observed the same front desk clerk being rude to customers on the phone and with on site guest. He is needs to be retrained on customer service relations or needs to be moved to the back of the house away from customers. I really wanted to confront this employee about his rude and condescending behavior, but what would be the outcome? Nothing would change. So I remain reserved. If you read the comments from "Guest Relations Support" you will notice it is a simple copy and paste response with a few minor changes. It is obvious they really do not care about reviews or making any improvements.
