AC Hotel Irvine

Rooms are nice, the hotel overall is charming. The location is close to the highway so it’s easy to go to LA or down south. You also have a lot of dining options near by. Irvine is a clean and safe city. The service was not the best. Our toilet got clogged and our friends who were staying in another room also had a clogged toilet. The front desk was not very attentive or helpful. I wish the service was better.

I stayed 3 nights last summer at this hotel and I would definitely recommend staying here! The room, hotel, and even pool area was very modern and clean. They had a very inviting bar and lounge area in the lobby that made a fun social environment. Their gym was a bit small, but I suppose it is average size for most hotels containing a cable machine with some cardio and dumbbells. Just across the street were several restaurants and a large chanin gym. The breakfast could use some help. The quality was great but the portions were small. Don't go if you are super hungry.

As a Diamond member at Hilton I was trying to up my status with Marriott, however I will never stay at another Marriott hotel. I stay in hotels over half the year, I am a pilot and I’m on the road over half the year so anywhere from 150-200 nights a year. I’ve never had an issue with housekeeping, until staying at this property. I’m OCD so I could tell something was off with my bag when I got back to my room. She had gone through and stole $390 out of my wallet. Tip money I had collected over the last month. I confronted her and of course she denied it. I immediately asked to speak to a manager and was told he doesn’t come in until 5pm and we will have him call you. No I want to speak to someone before the lady leaves for the day. They offered the housekeeping manager, but he was in a meeting, so I had to wait over an hour to speak to him. He did nothing, said he would speak to the manager and get back to me, but neither manager ever did. As far as I know, they didn’t even ask the house keeper. I understand it’s my word against hers, no way to prove anything, but they really didn’t even want to hear my concerns at all. Basically said “we will cancel your reservation and you can go somewhere else” I went to the Embassy Suites and had a great night. I will continue to bills status at Hilton and never stay at another Marriott property. I will also encourage all my pilot friends to do the same. By the way, Hillton properties are much nicer anyways.

Yuni the general manager excels at being a hospitality professional! After having a check-in mishap, she immediately addressed the issue. Hotel is fresh, modern, quiet & clean. Tasty breakfast selection with efficient waiters. Great location with restaurants in walking distance.

We stayed here during the week for a business/pleasure trip. The front desk service was exceptional. The hotel was very clean. **Rooms:** The rooms were very nice, clean, and practical. They featured a nice-sized bathroom with a large shower. The body wash and hair products were average. I normally bring my own, anyway. We requested extra towels and received them promptly. The hotel offers housekeeping, but we declined. I loved that there was a long luggage "bench" against the wall and a designated working area with electronic connection points if needed. I also loved the couch in the room. However, what's up with the short nightstand?! It's a foot shorter than the bed and super small! In room coffee machine, refrigerator but no microwave. **Elevators:** Nice and clean. **Breakfast:** Nothing is free anymore, so they offer breakfast for $22.50 per person. You're better off getting something from a coffee shop. **Pool:** The pool area is lively. It's not big, but really nice. There is no hot tub or heated pool. **Workout Room:** The workout area is well equipped with free weights and treadmills. **Valet:** They offer valet service for $40 per day. The valet staff were super nice. You can conveniently scan a code on the valet card they give you, and they will bring your vehicle out before you are downstairs. Super convenient! **Location:** The hotel is on a busy street but has a suburban feel. There is a Starbucks across the street, as well as a couple of restaurants, including Ruth's Chris Steak House. Attached to the hotel is a Mexican restaurant. It is not a full-service Mexican restaurant and has a very limited menu. The tacos are overpriced at an average of $12 each and there are no free refills on sodas. An LA Fitness is located just a few feet from the hotel, which is very convenient. The airport is within 5 miles.
