This was a lovely place to evacuate to during the wildfires. It certainly felt like a haven. The staff and management were so understanding and helped us get better rates for our stay. It was a perfect spot for my family and my dog. Really appreciate the kindness and assistance of the people here.

they feel the void of well kept hotel rooms without being too pricey. Pretty basic but decently spacious. Includes simple continental buffet, no-frills there, pool, basketball court. Location kind of iffy, but doesn't seem to be better choices in the area.

Dirty, basic maintenance is not done. This is a very old residence Inn. Marriott probably retired and Sonesta bought. The bottom step on stairs up to my room wasn't stable. They had screwed a piece of wood to each side of the step to quasi repair it. (A step on stairs is kind of important to fix properly) This is typical of the entire hotel, they cut every expense possible. I saw 1 employee at the front desk at any time. In 4 days, i never saw a maintenance person or a housekeeper. All the photos they have on the website must be a different hotel or 10 yrs old. The breakfast is a joke, items stated on their website weren't available. Go spend $5 at ARCO you will have better food. The floors in the room were really dirty. I put towels down where I needed to stand. The freeway is literally 10 feet and a cyclone fence from the parking area 80 ft from the room. Sonesta=Never again.

My whole family went on this trip for a wedding- 4 different groups stayed at Sonesta ES Suites in Fountain Valley. Very nice suites, good space with the 2 bathrooms which came very handy for the family BBQ we had in their outdoor space. My kids enjoyed the pool. And our breakfast time was awesome, my lived their pancake maker!! Pretty cool. I will definitely look for these suites next time I travel!!

The first impression is bad since there was a dirty tissue on the floor when we opened the door. We checked every corner to see if this room was really cleaned. Very old building while the room is spacious. Self-parking is $10 per night. The WiFi sucks, you can barely connect to the WiFi. It keeps disconnecting and reconnecting, and the speed is slow even after you are lucky enough to get connected.
