Great hotel with freshly updated rooms. I really liked the hard vinyl flooring rather than old carpet. What downside is their parking lot is small and they charge $39.00 a night. Really high in my opinion since everyone has to drive there and it’s in a business park. The deal we got on the hotel ended up costing more than their competitors that include parking.

I'd love to give this hotel a 5 star across the board however there are a couple of things that are issues. The air freshener/perfume they pipe into the lobby and the dining room is dreadful. It cause a sneezing attack the minute I walked into the registration desk to check in. My second night I went to the dining room of the Haven Point restaurant and my eyes were burning and again a scent that was just over powering. Next. the rooms are clean and very nice however I was located on the 3rd floor and the sound of equipment turning on and off all night was a bit irritating as well as the sound of the neighbors tv could be heard which is unusual for hotels in 2025. Otherwise I would stay here again, but the scent in the lobby and restaurant needs to go!

Sonesta hotels near the John Wayne airport in the Irvine business center, is a great place for business travellers and family. Great location nearby I-405 south to San Diego. Rooms are spacious with laundry facilities on multiple floors. Their pool and gym facilities are amazing. Definitely recommend staying here.

Had a decent experience overall, but there were a few key issues. The internet access throughout the hotel was very spotty, and especially bad in my room. I could not stay connected to the internet for any reasonable length of time, which made video calls or streaming impossible. On my last morning before check-out, I was interrupted multiple times by the cleaning crew while on work calls. There has to be better communication between the front desk and staff so they know when people have checked-out and the room is vacant. I also had issues with the courtesy shuttle. I had signed up at the front desk the day before for a ride to the train station. The shuttle nearly left without me, although I was in the lobby 5 minutes ahead of scheduled departure, and I was dropped off at the wrong location. I had given the address to the front desk staff and confirmed the drop off location was allowed, but it was evident the driver had not gotten the same information. It created a huge problem for me and I nearly missed my train because of this lack of communication.

I just checked into Sonesta Irvine for the weekend, and I have to say, the service has been incredible from the moment I arrived. Vanessa at the front desk greeted me as soon as I walked in with a warm smile and outstanding customer service. She made sure everything was in order and went above and beyond to make me feel welcome right away. David from valet was also amazing. He was friendly, efficient, and handled my car with care. Both Vanessa and David made my first night here so comfortable, and I’m really looking forward to the rest of my stay. If this is just the beginning, I know it’s going to be a great weekend!
