The Waterfront Beach Resort, a Hilton Hotel

Lots of good about the hotel but also lots of issues. Spending a week with two rooms. Pros: Clean place. Lobby, rooms everything very clean. Cleaning staff also very nice. Good pools and hot tubs heated. Here in December and kids can swim no problem even though a bit chilly out. They have slides lots of fun for the kids. Towel service at the pool nice touch. Great on site restaurant's and a few good options to choose from. Never had a bad meal. Location is great. Right by the pier, beach, shopping center and restaurants. Cons: Valet only (not cheap) for parking and the texting service rarely works so you usually have to wait 15-25 minutes after you walk down and request your car. No self park options it’s a pain honestly with the tight turnaround out front. Always backed up. Hopefully you don’t have a car. Wish I could pay the same high price to self park just for the convenience of getting the car in a reasonable amount of time. Room had a soaked floor on one side when we arrived. They fixed it in the morning so we had to leave the room all morning. They used all our towels to dry it up and didn’t replace so had to go down and get towels. No body wash soap they ran out. Brought us a few bars of soap but it just turned to mush in the shower. Just got soap at the pharmacy down the road. Had an event going on until 1am and had a DJ outside with the music cranked. Unfortunately the rooms don’t have the best sound protection so you felt like you were on the dance floor. No one slept until after 1am. Called front desk and all they offered was ear plugs. Don’t know why they didn’t have just turned down the volume to a tolerable level to respect the paying customers who want to sleep in their hotel room. There were less than a dozen people outside with the DJ. Bubble experience. Great idea they have enclosed bubbles with a fire pit you can rent for 4 hours. The breakers kept blowing so for the first two hours we had no heat or lights in the bubbles. The people beside us never got power back to theirs so they left early upset. The service was awful. Our first round of drinks took over an hour. At least the second round only took 30 minutes. Food took an hour and half to come out after ordering. Great idea they just need a manager or someone to overlook it to have it run smoothly. We didn’t mind the place just too many issues for what you’re paying. I’d personally try one of the neighboring hotels. The people we’ve run into and asked who are staying at them were much more positive about their experience. Still here for another 3 days just have an idea what to expect now. More of a 3 star hotel experience at best. Would for sure come back to the area great spot.

The hotel was beautiful and the staff was more than delightful. So many times, when staying at a top-notch hotel, something in the service suffers. Not here! The cuisine was excellent, and waking up to beautiful breathtaking sunrises over the Pacific made everything just come together! Not one day disappointed! I can't wait for the opportunity to visit again.

We are vacationing with our 3 young kids. Without any heads up, the hotel had a DJ playing outside until 1AM. Mind you, there were maybe 12 people or less dancing outside with the music, but all of the people in the rooms surrounding the pool and courtyard were blasted with extremely loud music until 1AM (well past the local noise bylaws). No one in our room was able to sleep until after 1am which is going to put a bit of a damper on our vacation for the next day or 2 (if you have young kids, you know). I don’t understand why the hotel wouldn’t have the DJ inside one of their nice big ballrooms? Instead of majorly inconveniencing the majority of their hotel guests who just wanted to sleep.

We went here for my birthday and invited family members to join for the day. We’re locals but wanted to stay near the beach. I called days before to confirm with the front desk and they shared that it was the end of high season so don’t worry and it won’t be busy. Also that they will not require wrist bands for my other guests to enter the pool area. I invited my family and shared with them that there was no issue. Man was I fooled. It was so busy at the pool with absolutely NO safety process put in place. Kids and were running wild, drinks near the pool, kids kicking over our drinks, lots of kids jumping and flipping into the water. Some of the toddlers almost was hurt too, the carelessness of the people there. We had you pay this huge resort fees for the amenities but everything was gone, used up or so packed that you couldn’t enjoy your stay. They blocked out a quarter of the pool area for rent and no one rented it but it was just dead space. The pool was murky and dirty. Beach towels, toys and wagons were all gone and what ever was left was broken! Other guest were complaining too. We’re also diamond members and wasn’t treated like one. We stayed at 6 other Hilton, Waldorf Astoria resorts this year and this was by far the worst. I request more wrist bands and they gave me 3 and said they said I will have to buy them. When I requested to buy them. The front seat said they sold out. Overall this hotel is just a hotel and not a resort or anything close to it. The valet was the only people that was friendly and helpful. They need to make sure they do a better job making their guest feel welcome and regulate the amount of people in the pool area. Overall it wasn’t a good experience for $700 per night. I would no go here again and go to the resort next door.

We met with Jasmin I believe , and since it was my birthday she took extra great care of us. The whole staff was amazing! The room was clean and had the best ocean view! Thank you for making my birthday a memorable one! We’ll definitely return!
